I am an assistant professor at the State University of New York, College at Brockport. My goal as a professional is to ensure that high-quality conservation, parks, and recreation (CPR) services are available in an equitable fashion, now and for future generations.

I was born in Washington D.C., and grew up in Virginia. I earned my BS in Health Promotion from American University in Washington D.C., where I was a Division I wrestler. I received my MS in Recreation Management from the University of New Hampshire, and my Ph.D. in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management from Penn State. In addition to my time at SUNY Brockport, I spent three years as a faculty member at the University of Illinois.
